"Bridging" the gap between music and fashion
11/30/06

By: Nicole Gately

The music, talent and creativity of Jascha Heifetz have captivated music lovers all over the world. His extraordinary and incomparable musical talent has helped Heifetz become one of history's most revered and remembered violinists. The Violin Case has honored the memory of this world renowned musician with an exclusive Jascha Heifetz violin bridge necklace.

This remarkable pendant is a replication of the intricate and ornate Stradivari bridge. Stradivari originally created the bridge for the viola in the "Tuscan" set of instruments that were created for The Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1690. Each piece is specially made by hand and bears the likeness of Heifetz's signature on the back.

The Jascha Heifetz necklace is available in both 14K gold and sterling silver. Each bridge pendant is 1" wide by ¾" high and can be purchased with a matching 1.6mm thick 20" snake chain. The 8.6 gram, 14K gold piece boasts a polished gold foreground with a beautifully contrasting matte background. The sterling silver pendant has an oxidized silver foreground and a black background, adding depth to the piece. The silver bridge sells for $88 with the chain, $58 without, while the 14K gold bridge sells for $575 with the chain, $325 without.

Not only do these amazing necklaces boast superior fashion taste and class, they also help future musicians succeed. Five percent of each bridge pendant sold will go to the ASTA's String Project Consortium, an organization that prepares college string education majors for public school orchestra programs. Heifetz himself became a teacher later in his life, passing along his knowledge of the violin to a new generation of virtuosos.

The Jascha Heifetz Violin Bridge Necklace can only be purchased at The Violin Case www.theviolincase.com/necklace.htm.
